Hit the Town ("we," "our," or "the app") is operated by Hit the Town LLC. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (via Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email).

Preference Data: Your taste preferences, category selections, vibe preferences, cuisine preferences, budget preferences, and energy/indoor-outdoor settings collected during onboarding and through app usage.

Usage Data: How you interact with the app — venues viewed, itineraries created, venues rated, share actions, and feature usage patterns.

Location Data: Your city selection (entered manually or detected). We do not continuously track your precise GPS location.

Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for debugging and compatibility.

5. Affiliate Links

Some links in the app (e.g., ticket purchases) are affiliate links. When you make a purchase through these links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence which venues or events appear in your recommendations.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure Keychain. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, we remove your profile, preferences, and usage history from our servers within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

Hit the Town is not intended for users under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
